It’s party time! Where to spend your New Year’s Eve 2022 in Charlotte

Make your New Year’s Eve plans early this year — you won’t want to miss your chance to ring in 2023 in style in Charlotte.

Options include live music events such as The Avett Brothers performing in concert at Bojangles Coliseum, high-end prix fixe dinners, hotel ballroom parties where you can dance the night away and more.

Here are a few ways you can spend your NYE 2022 in Charlotte:

The Avett Brothers

Location: Bojangles Coliseum, 2700 East Independence Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28205

When: 8 p.m.

Spend the last night of 2022 with Concord natives The Avett Brothers at Bojangles Coliseum. The folk rock duo’s Charlotte performance will include special guest Valient Thorr.

Church and Union Charlotte

Location: 127 N. Tryon St #8, Charlotte, NC 28202

When: 5 p.m.-2 a.m.

The price changes throughout the night, with early birds getting a discount, at Church and Union’s New Year’s Eve celebration. The restaurant’s three-course meal includes a half bottle of champagne for a party of two, and a full bottle for a party of four.

Dancing will follow to the beats of a live DJ, and of course there will be a countdown as the ball drops with a champagne toast at midnight. A portion of the proceeds will go to Atrium Health Levine’s Children’s Hospital.

Price: $80 from 5-5:45 p.m.; $90 from 6-6:45 p.m; $100 from 7-7:45 p.m.; and $120 from 8-close. For a $60 upgrade, you can enjoy an open bar and buffet from 10 p.m.-2 a.m.

Countdown at Canopy

Location: Canopy by Hilton Charlotte SouthPark, 4905 Barclay Downs Drive Charlotte, NC 28210

When: 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Countdown at Canopy will be evening of celebration leading into New Year 2023. Dress to impress as you enjoy live music from The Plair Band that will get you dancing, appetizers and a champagne toast at midnight.

Price: $150, plus taxes and fees

Ever Andalo

Location: 3116 N. Davidson St., Charlotte, NC 28205

When: 5-11 p.m.

Ever Andalo is offering a five-course dinner on New Year’s Eve, crafted by executive chef Rose Mushe and her team. (Requests for dietary restrictions will be accepted until Dec. 26.)

Price: $95 per person, plus tax and tip. Drinks are not included — wine pairings and specialty Italian cocktails will be available a la carte.

Gala en Noire

Location: Luxe Event Venue, 10213 John Adams Road Charlotte, NC 28262

When: 7 p.m.-1:30 a.m.

Black Opulence Experience presents Gala en Noire, an all-black attire event on New Year’s Eve. Black Excellence will celebrate with elite local business owners and leaders, including door prizes, raffles and giveaways.

The mandatory black tie event will feature a night of dancing, cocktails and bubbly via bottle service, a chef’s table, butler service, cigar lounge, live band an a DJ. VIP packages that include a display of your business logo and other perks are available.

Price: $130 for general admission or $250 for couple’s admission; $350 for Gold VIP admission for two; $750 for Platinum VIP that includes a table for four; $1000 for Black Diamond VIP that includes a table for four.

Gatsby’s House

Location: Hilton Charlotte Uptown, 222 E. 3rd St., Charlotte, NC 28202

When: 8 p.m.-1 a.m.

VIPNightlife and Hilton Charlotte’s “Great Gatsby”-inspired NYE party includes five hours of prepaid drinks, along with light appetizers and party favors. A live DJ will spin a club mix of hip-hop, reggaeton and Top 40 music.

Semi-formal or cocktail attire is required. Roaring 20s attire, flapper dresses and zoot suits are encouraged.

VIP admission includes open seating, ultra-premium prepaid drinks, complimentary hors d’oeuvres from 9:30-11:30 p.m., limited exclusive access to a VIP area in the main ballroom and upgraded party favors.

Price: $145-$895, with options including a hotel stay

Growlers Pourhouse

Growler’s Pourhouse will party into the new year on New Year’s Eve with music and dancing. A live DJ will be on hand from 9 p.m.-1 a.m., and the pub will hold a champagne toast at midnight.

Haberdish

Location: 3106 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205

When: 5-11 p.m.

Haberdish will celebrate New Year’s Eve with fried chicken and traditional Osetra caviar from North Carolina. The bar team will offer featured cocktails for the evening, and no detail will be spared. There will even be a special butter on the menu to pair with your fried chicken, champagne and sides.

La Belle Helene

Like its sister restaurant Church and Union, La Belle Helene will offer a three-course prix fixe menu. The price changes throughout the night, with early birds getting a discount, and the meal includes a half bottle of champagne for a party of two, and a full bottle for a party of four.

First course choices:

  • Octopus a la plancha

  • Endive salad

  • Beet-cured salmon

  • Crispy sweetbreads

Entree selections:

  • Lamb shank

  • Scallop grenobloise

  • Filet mignon

  • Ricotta gnudi

  • Duck confit cassoulet

Dessert options:

  • Chef’s selection of ice cream and sorbet

  • Salted caramel cheesecake

  • Coconut dacquoise

La Belle Helene will also hold a late-night open bar and buffet, featuring a live DJ, festive party favors and a champagne toast at midnight to ring in 2023.

Red Salt by David Burke

Location: Le Méridien Charlotte, 555 S McDowell St., Charlotte, NC 28204

When: 5-10 p.m.

Red Salt by David Burke will offer a three-course prix fixe menu on NYE 2022. The regular menu will not be offered.

First course choices are:

  • Tuxedo scallops with Tru!e risotto and herb butter

  • Pastrami smoked salmon with warm brioche, American caviar and chive creme fraiche

  • Duck confit spring roll with pickled Asian vegetables and plum sauce plus Black Truffle Soup with a phyllo nest and sauterne cloud

  • Gazpacho salad, radish, cucumber, tomato, jalapeno, red pepper, scallions, arugula and champagne vinaigrette

  • Venison consomme with goat cheese and mushroom ravioli and leek fondue

Entree options are:

5 oz filet and King crab with mushroom and potato gratin, and Pinot jus

Stuffed Dover Sole with lobster-fennel-mascarpone purple rice and chive sauce

Rack of Australian lamb with bacon and cheddar croquettes, eggplant caponata and rosemary jus

Dessert choices are:

The Bar at Supperland is hosting a New Year’s Eve party, complete with food and music. Tickets include two drinks, all you can eat small bites and a champagne toast. (Additional drinks available a la carte.) DJ Ahren Chandler will spin the tunes starting at 9 p.m., when guests arrive. Make sure you dress to impress — cocktail attire is suggested.

Price: $189 per person, plus tax and tip

Make reservations: Tickets will be available Monday, Nov. 28. Space is extremely limited — there’s only room for about 40 people.

U.S. National Whitewater Center

Location: 5000 Whitewater Center Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28214

When: 11 p.m.-1 am.

Race into 2023 with the U.S. National Whitewater Center’s New Year’s Eve trail race. Recover Brands race shirts are guaranteed to those who pre-register on or before Dec. 20. Note: Headlamps are required, and packet pickup is Dec. 30, 5-7 p.m.

Price: Pre-registration is $32 for 5K and $37 for 5-mile race. Day-of registration is $37 and $42, respectively. Parking is $6.

Winter Wonderland at Trolley Barn Fermentory

When: 10 p.m.-1 a.m.

Trolley Barn Fermentory’s Winter Wonderland bash on NYE 2022 will include a dance party with DJ Philly, access to signature cocktails and champagne bottles for purchase, plus a selection of themed hors d’oeuvres. At the end of the evening, you’ll find a countdown and ball-drop viewing, midnight champagne toast and takeaway gifts.
