PA gas station sells Cash 5 lottery ticket worth $250K. Here are the winning numbers

A lucky player purchased a jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket worth approximately $250,000 in Luzerne County, the Pennsylvania Lottery said Tuesday.

The winning ticket matched all five numbers selected during March 20’s Cash 5 drawing. The winning numbers are 5, 22, 38, 40 and 43.

U.S. Gas and Food Mart, located at 2 N. Walnut St. in Wilkes-Barre, will earn a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket, the lottery said.

The winner has one year from the drawing date to claim the prize. Winners can be identified only after prizes are claimed and tickets are validated, the lottery said.

The winners should complete the back of their ticket by filling in their name, address, phone number and signature. Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket is encouraged to contact the nearest Pennsylvania Lottery office or call 1-800-692-7481, according to a lottery press release.

Cash 5 with Quick Cash offers a daily jackpot that is up for grabs if a player correctly selects five winning numbers between one and 43. The lottery estimates the chances of winning a jackpot prize are about 1 in 962,598.

If any of a player’s Cash 5 numbers match a winning number in the same Quick Cash game, they instantly win a corresponding prize worth between $2 and $6. Players are encouraged to “check every ticket, every time” and claim small prizes at lottery retailers, the Pennsylvania Lottery said.

The odds of winning a Quick Cash game, about 1 in 4.71, are separate from the chances of winning a Cash 5 main game or jackpot.
