Popular Bay Area pizzeria Seniore’s opening first location in Sacramento. Here’s where

Seniore’s Pizza, known throughout the Bay Area for its generous hours, will open in south Sacramento near the Elk Grove border on Saturday.

The restaurant at 8250 Calvine Road, Suite A, will be Seniore’s first outside the Bay Area. Doors crack at 11 a.m. Saturday following a weeklong soft opening, and the first 100 customers in line will get free pizza, though it’s not clear if that’s a slice or whole pie.

Don’t expect to find pepperoni or Canadian bacon at this pizzeria, though. It’ll be the first halal Seniore’s, a point of emphasis for franchisees Tariq, Belal and Zaid Eid, the Sacramento Business Journal reported.

Seniore’s first opened in San Francisco’s Sunset District in 2002, and later expanded to include Berkeley, Santa Clara, San Bruno and San Mateo, plus a second San Francisco location. Those menus include pasta, sandwiches, salads and loaded fries in addition to pizza, with free delivery across the board.

Seniore’s is known as a spot for late-night eats as much as anything. The Berkeley location is open until 3 a.m. six nights a week, for example. And patrons are known for gobbling up pizza with Seniore’s secret sauce, a spicy blend of ingredients that endear slices to folding and dipping.

Videos posted to Seniore’s Instagram page indicate the Sacramento location will have an outdoor patio illuminated by string lights. The phone number associated with the new restaurant has yet to be set up.
