Opening day exclusive: MLB commissioner Rob Manfred on the state of baseball in 2023

Spring is in the air and so too is Major League Baseball! Today is opening day and players and fans alike are looking forward to the sport's first normal season in four years.

All 30 teams will be playing today, the first time that's happened since 1968. Fans can catch their favorite teams on MLB.com or follow the action with USA TODAY Sports' opening day live updates.

There's also a slew of rule changes in play to speed up the pace of the game including implementing a pitch clock for the first time in history, banning infield shifts and using enlarged bases.
