Omelets, pancakes and more: A new breakfast and lunch spot is now open near Charlotte

There’s now a new spot in the Charlotte area to grab the most important meal of the day. A new location of Eggs Up Grill has opened in Gastonia in Red Bud Commons.

The regional chain founded in Pawleys Island, SC., now has multiple locations nearby, including restaurants in Charlotte, Fort Mill and Rock Hill. The Gastonia restaurant will serve guests seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. with dine-in service and online ordering for takeout or delivery.

THE FOOD: You’ll find freshly made breakfast classics including omelets and other egg dishes, pancakes and waffles, plus breakfast sandwiches and bowls. Family bundles for four or six guests are available. For lunch, the restaurant serves up burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads. Gluten-free options and kids meals are available.

THE SPACE: The 4,000 square-foot restaurant offers seating for 116, plus an outdoor patio for 24 diners. A takeout station near the entrance allows for easy pickup for online ordering.

THE ATMOSPHERE: The bright, cheery surroundings include yellow and teal accents, and features artwork designed for Eggs Up Grill that is themed toward — you guessed it — eggs.

THE OWNERS: The Gastonia location is owned by experienced restaurateurs Keith Moore and his wife, Soumitra, who have lived in the community for 10 years. “What attracted my wife and I to Eggs Up Grill is how family-oriented it is. It’s a place family can gather and enjoy breakfast classics,” Moore said.
