Think of it as the Frozen sequel before the Frozen sequel. Disney has just unveiled Frozen Northern Lights, a multimedia expansion of its hugely popular princess franchise that will include new books and Lego animated shorts. The adventure revolves around Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven — joined by their new friend, Little Rock — on an mission to fix the Northern Lights in time for a special troll ceremony.

First up is the novelization, Disney Frozen Northern Lights: Journey to the Lights, coming in July from Random House. The novel will introduce the adorable Little Rock, one of Kristoff’s troll friends who helps the Arendelle crew. Little Rock is described as being “like family to Kristoff” and comes equipped with a sack full of magic crystals.

In addition to the books and Lego shorts, Disney will feature Northern Lights-based content on its Frozen website (frozen.disney.com) and Facebook page, and launch a new Instagram account, @DisneyFrozen.

Debuting in 2013, Frozen set the record for highest-grossing animated feature of all time with $1.27 billion in worldwide box office. A short, Frozen Fever, played in front of last year’s live-action Cinderella. The Mouse House confirmed a sequel was in the works at its 2015 shareholder meeting, but no official release date has been announced. There’s also a Frozen musical slated to open on Broadway in 2018.

In other words, Olaf will be dishing out warm hugs for a long time.
