Take an Official Look at the AMBUSH® x Nike Air Force 1 in "Phantom" and "Black"

AMBUSH®'s Yoon and Nike are dropping another Air Force 1 collaboration, following their blue "Game Royal" and "Pine Green" pairs. This time around, the low-cut silhouette is landing in a black and white theme dubbed "Phantom" and "Black."

The design maintains elements from the previous drop, with the "Phantom" pair arriving with all-white on the upper and soles. The kicks are contrasted with black Swooshes, which extend beyond the heel for a three-dimensional look. The "Black" shoe is an inverted version of "Phantom" with an all-black upper and off-white Swoosh. Both shoes are complete with contrasting dubraes with three-dimensional "AF1" branding. The tongue is labeled with Nike and AMBUSH®'s logos, as well as the footbed and heel.

Back in 2020, Yoon told Hypebae that the extended Swooshes took inspiration from Japan's Bosozuku bikes and Dekotora cars. "I wanted to pay homage to Japan and the country’s subcultures. I was looking into Bosozuku bikes and Dekotora cars, which feature extended pipes that I took inspiration from. That’s how the design came to be," she spoke of her Nike Dunk collaboration that was originally scheduled to release in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Since then, the designer has expanded her partnership with the Air Adjust Force and AF1.

Take a closer look at the kick above. The "Phantom" and "Black" AMBUSH® x Nike Air Force 1s, priced at $190 USD a pair, will release on February 28.
