Off Their Game Week 12 - Tom Brady

Matt Harmon explains why the Buccaneers QB could struggle vs. the reigning Super Bowl Champions in week 12.

MATT HARMON: Yeah, Andy mentioned it. We're going to go here with our Off Our Game players. The players were more than 50% started in Yahoo leagues, but are going to be a little lower than those expectations this week. I'll get us started here with Tom Brady.

Look, things have not been great for Brady of late. Especially the last time that we saw him. That was a concerning performance, I would say, on last Monday night. However, this is kind of a trend for Brady throughout the year. Like, when he has time, he can still dice up a defense in the short to intermediate ranges.

However, when he's under pressure, he has a 55 passer rating. That is outside the top 30 relevant quarterbacks this year. There are again, only 32-- well, I mean, at this point, who knows how many quarterbacks are supposed to be in the NFL. But you get it. Outside the top 30 is not a good thing.

And when you're 43 years old and there are some holes on your offensive line, this is to be expected. The Chiefs, we think of them as a beatable defense, but they're still top 10 in pass defense DVOA. They're top 10 in both quarterback knockdown and pressure rate right now.

So, this looks like a situation where I would be staying away from Brady. I think they just try to run the ball with Ronald Jones against the defense of Kansas City, that you can run on. But Liz, tell me who is going to be off their game this week.
