NYC Pride March Draws Thousands to Manhattan

Thousands turned out in New York City on Sunday, June 26, to celebrate the first Pride March in three years to take place without pandemic-related restrictions.

NYC Pride March, an annual event in NYC since 1970, started close to Madison Square Park and progressed down Fifth Avenue and into Greenwich Village, where it passed the historic Stonewall Inn, the site of the 1969 Stonewall Riots that are widely considered to have starting point of the modern LGBT+ rights movement.
