Now you can get your Betty Rae’s Ice Cream fix at 28 KC grocery stores. Here’s where
Betty Rae’s Ice Cream found a way to get even more of its pints into the hands of sweet-tooth shoppers.
More than two dozen grocery stores in the Kansas City area are selling Betty Rae’s, a local brand with three area ice cream shops.
Betty Rae’s is now available at 28 Cosentino-owned Price Chopper, SunFresh and Cosentino’s Markets stores. The Cosentino family locations can be found on the family’s website at cosentinos.com.
Ice cream flavors include butter pecan, chocolate brownie, cookies and cream, cookie dough, peppermint bark, peanut butter, and vanilla bean pints.
Betty Rae’s locations sell 26 flavors for pints, scoops, sundaes and more.
The first Betty Rae’s opened in Waldo at 7140 Wornall Road in 2016, then opened its second store in the River Market at 412 Delaware St. in 2018.
Matt Shatto, co-founder of Shatto Milk Co., purchased Betty Rae’s in May with promises to expand. Then, he opened a Betty Rae’s in Olathe at 10470 S. Ridgeview Road in September.
Shatto told The Star in August he planned to expand even further.
“I mean, heck, we could easily open one or a couple more between now and next spring, or if we don’t find the right locations, we’ll be patient,” Shatto said.
