The online retailer Not On The High Street is going against its digital roots for two days as it runs a physical store in the capital.

The firm said its FML Store, a nod to the popular acronym used to describe a daily mishap, will be open on Old Compton Street today (Thursday 29 September) and tomorrow, and will provide a boost to those who have been impacted by Mercury in retrograde.

This is an astrological phenomenon which suggests that when the planet Mercury is in a retrograde motion, it creates a period of chaos and confusion here on Earth, leading many of us to make embarrassing mistakes and errors.

Visitors to Not On The High Street’s shop won’t need money to earn themselves a gift though, as they’ll simply need to share their latest ‘epic fail’ with staff to be offered a “soul-boosting gift”.

There will be an array of products from some of Not On The High Street’s most popular and creative small businesses that they can buy, though, with the range categorised to reflect life’s grim moments, such as love trouble or work drama.

The store is open from midday until 8pm at 68 Old Compton Street.
