Northern California malls step up security, partner with police for holiday shopping season

Black Friday this year brought crowds of shoppers back to the stores after COVID-19 closures in 2020. But concerns about safety still kept some people away. In those incidents, mobs of thieves can be seen on surveillance video breaking into stores, smashing windows, and grabbing what they can before taking off. With that rise in retail thefts, malls across Northern California are partnering with local police to prevent crime and keep everyone safe. See more in the video above.
