NorCal officials want you out of the rivers Memorial Day weekend

It's a simple message: stay out of the rivers. Water levels are dangerously high, fast, and cold due to snow melt from the Sierra. For the Sacramento Fire Department, a big concern is the American River ahead of Memorial Day. "This is something we don't see," Capt. Justin Sylvia with the Sacramento Fire Department said. "It usually runs at 2,500 CFS (cubic feet per second) through the American River right around this area. We're expecting to see flows of 15,000 CFS by this weekend."
