NFL analyst’s video shows Chiefs’ Isiah Pacheco crush a Bucs player on kickoff coverage

Chiefs rookie running back Isiah Pacheco opened some eyes Sunday night in the Chiefs’ 41-31 victory over the Buccaneers.

A national television audience watched Pacheco rush for 63 yards in 11 attempts (5.7 yards per carry), running hard with each tote. He also returned three kickoffs for 91 yards.

Unbeknownst to most, Pacheco also made his presence known just seconds into the game. The Chiefs kicked off to start the contest, and Pacheco leveled a Buccaneers player as a teammate forced a fumble.

NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger shared video of the big hit on Tampa Bay linebacker Anthony Nelson.

Here is another look.

“I’m watching the Chiefs’ 251st pick in the draft, Isaiah Pacheco, out of VIneland, New Jersey. South Jersey, probably not more than 25 minutes away from Mount Laurel here at NFL Films,” Baldinger said in his video. “This is what Isaiah Pacheco did on the opening kickoff of the game. Like, this is how you start a game. You just like put people right on their butt. Like, this guy is just a football player. And of course, the Chiefs forced the fumble from Rachaad White on the first play. And he gives the Chiefs great field position to start the game, but that Isaiah Pacheco, that guy is just a football player. He’s just Jersey strong. “

That’s not the only praise Pacheco received from someone on the NFL Network. Peter Schrager mentioned Pacheco on “Good Morning Football,” calling him the top rookie from the Week 4 games.

“He’s getting the rock and he’s running hard. God do I love Isiah Pacheco. ... Every single time he touches the ball he’s running angry,” Schrager said. “Look at this guy. He lowers the shoulder. I get so fired up about Pacheco. ...

“He’s wearing Tyreek’s No. 10 and he’s making that number proud.
