NHL Season More Than Half-Canceled as League Axes More Games

With the labor dispute between the NHL and the NHL Players' Association still ongoing, the hockey season is now more than half on ice.

The NHL has now canceled all of the regular games of the 2012-13 season up until Jan. 14. That makes a total of 625 regular-game cancelations so far this season -- or 50.8 percent of the games that were scheduled to take place since the would-be start of the season on Oct. 11.

The league earlier canceled the NHL All-Star Weekend, which was scheduled for Jan 26-27 in Columbus, Ohio.
