Kourtney Kardashian 'Over the Moon' About Son's Birth After Pregnancy 'Took a Stressful Turn' (Exclusive)

"She is happy to just be able to snuggle her baby boy now," a source tells PEOPLE exclusively of the now-mom-of-four

Kourtney Kardashian Barker is "over the moon" about her baby son's birth.

Earlier this week, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that the Lemme founder, 44, and husband Travis Barker welcomed their first baby together.

Now, a source tells PEOPLE that Kardashian Barker is in love with being a mom to a newborn again. (She shares sons Reign Aston, 8, and Mason Dash, 13, plus daughter Penelope Scotland, 11, with ex Scott Disick, while Barker, 47, is already a father to son Landon, 20, daughter Alabama, 17, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 24, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.)

“Kourtney is over the moon about her son’s arrival," the source says. "Her pregnancy took a stressful turn towards the end."

"She is happy to just be able to snuggle her baby boy now," they add of The Kardashians star. "She feels so blessed."

Kardashian Barker and Barker — who wed in 2022 — revealed that they would be welcoming a baby boy during a sex reveal party in June.

The rocker then spoke about his son on the One Life One Chance with Toby Morse podcast late last month.

As for Barker, the source tells PEOPLE that he "keeps being amazing," noting, "He brings her favorite, healthy food to the hospital."

"He makes sure she has everything that she needs. He is obsessed with their baby boy," the source adds.

Kardashian Barker first announced her pregnancy news in June by holding up a handwritten sign at her husband's Blink-182 concert.

Weeks before welcoming their baby boy, Kardashian Barker addressed a "medical emergency" she underwent after having an urgent fetal surgery. Sharing a photo on Instagram of her hand intertwined with her husband's, the now mom-of-four opened up about her scary situation.

"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life," she began her caption. "I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this."

"As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear," Kardashian Barker continued. "I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant."

She concluded, "Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing. 🙏🏼🤍."
