Darlene Hunt Teams With Jodie Foster For Cable Comedy Project at Sony TV

The Big C creator/executive producer Darlene Hunt has set her next cable comedy project, which has attracted Jodie Foster. Developed internally at Sony TV, where Hunt has an overall deal, and written on spec, the project, Charlie, centers on a self-destructive, emotionally-stunted alcoholic who vows to get her life on track after rescuing a dog she believes to be her reincarnated mother.

Foster has come on board to executive produce with Hunt and potentially direct the project, which will be taken out shortly. The Oscar-winning actress was recently nominated for two DGA Awards for helming episodes of Orange Is The New Black and House Of Cards. She is in pre-production on the Tristar Pictures film Money Monster, starring Julia Roberts, George Clooney and Jack O’Connell. Foster is repped as a director by UTA and attorney Mathew Saver; Hunt is with UTA and attorney Joel McKuin.
