We've pitted 32 of the most successful and beloved summer movies against each other. And now you get to decide which is your favorite. Marvel's The Avengers
When it comes to saving the Earth from some outer space menace, Marvel's superhero mashup team left the ragtag oil drillers of "Armageddon" in the dust -- a lot of dust, actually. Now, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Hawkeye, Thor and Scarlett Johansson (she just plays herself, right?) will take on a more humble kind of American hero, one who's always quick to remind us that life is like a box of chocolates.
Forrest Gump
It was a close race but Mr. Gump managed to "Run, Forrest, Run!" ahead of another beloved cinematic icon, the big-eyed, long-fingered alien visitor of "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial." Now we'll see if Forrest's gentle philosophies and worldviews are any match for the decidedly less touchy-feely "Avengers."
