New Images For The Conjuring 2 Released

‘The Conjuring’ was one of the surprises of 2013. Not only because it grossed $318 million from its measly $20 million budget but because it was genuinely good too.

Obviously its stellar box office performance meant that a sequel was always likely. But rather than instantly being recognisable as a tepid follow-up to its impressive original there’s every chance that ‘The Conjuring 2′ will actually be good. Mostly because Verma Farmiga and Patrick Wilson have been convinced to return.

To celebrate the impending release of ‘The Conjuring 2′, our transatlantic cousins at Yahoo Movies got their hands on exclusive images that give us a peek at Wilson and Farmiga looking very 70s as well as very perplexed.

The above picture not enough? Well then the one below will do the trick, because it shows Patrick Wilson’s Ed Warren in the midst of trying to stop the ghouls, and he looks very, very freaked out.

‘The Conjuring 2′ is set seven years after the antics of the original, and it has moved the Warrens across the pond to Great Britain.

But it’s not just the film itself that was haunted. Spooky goings on plagued those involved on the original so much that a priest was brought on set to bless the production on the follow-up.

However, even though Father Steve Sanchez, a Catholic priest from the Archdiocese of Sane Fe in Albuquerque, New Mexico, performed the ritual at the start of filming, its star Patrick Wilson wasn’t concerned.

Wilson explained, “Maybe it’s just the guy that I’m playing, but I’m not scared of anything. I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about evil forces.”

We’ll see how he fares against these supernatural forces when ‘The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist’ is released in the UK on October 30, 2016.
