New Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Team Member Announced Soon

It’s safe to say that any self respecting Marvel fan is excited for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′, and we’ll be getting some big casting news this week.

According to James Gunn, the director of both the first and upcoming movie, the mystery behind new members of the GotG world will be revealed soon.

In a recent Facebook Q and A video (that lasted over 40 minutes), Gunn teased that there would be a new female addition - presumably adding to Zoe Saldana’s Gamora and Karen Gillan’s Nebula, who are returning.

“We have a new cast member playing a new member of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and she was the most awesome and easiest person I’ve ever had to cast. She blew me the f*** away. She’s amazing, and I can’t wait to share her with the world,” Gunn shared with fans.

That’s some huge praise from the director, which adds a bit of pressure to get the new face right, considering the characters in the first film were so well written. The new name rumoured to enter the fray is actress Pom Klementieff who will join the GotG squad as Mantis.

The sequel is said to be more of an intimate story than the expansive, epic adventure of the first, and gradually we’re learning more and more as snippets trickle of info trickle out. Gunn confirmed we’d hear more shortly: “Next week I believe…Or at least most of them [will be announced],” he said.

We’ll keep an ear to the ground as we anticipate any fresh ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′ developments.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′ is in UK cinemas from 28 April, 2017.
