‘You never have to leave’ this Missouri mansion for sale, owner says. See for yourself

In what is described as a “world class residential multi-generation sanctuary” with all the resort-like amenities one could ask for, a multimillion-dollar Missouri mansion is still on the market after several price drops.

The six-bedroom, 19,891-square-foot home in Ladue first listed for over $5 million is now selling for $4.49 million.

With more than $6 million invested in the mansion, listing agents with Janet McAfee Real Estate say the four-story home and two-story guest house include a glass-enclosed swimming pool, a gym and clubhouse, a lighted sport court and a vaulted game room venue that’s “ideal for parties” with its separate, private entrance.

“Really, it’s a compound, you never have to leave,” homeowner Jackie Saleeby told KSDK in March 2021, when the home was listed for $5.2 million. She described living there to be a lot like life at a country club.

Along with all the usual areas one might expect to see in a mansion’s complex — many bedrooms, large bathrooms, grand kitchens and ample living spaces — the home also has some “fascinating uniqueness” to it.

In one room, for example, agents say you can walk over an “illuminated floor in semi-precious stones.”

That custom floor is made of geodes, KSDK reported.

“That was my husband’s creation, and that was several years in the works,” Saleeby told the Missouri TV station. “He would go to the Tucson gem show every year, buy barrels of geodes that would come from Brazil, and they would come in giant oil drums. Saved up and saved up and was finally able to find someone who could articulate his vision.”

There’s also a room featuring an Egyptian collection, complete with a sarcophagus, photos show.

And if you went for a swim in the all-seasons pool, look up and you’d see replicas of a shark and other sea creatures hanging from above.
