Network Rail Issues Warning as CCTV Shows Man 'Stagger' Across Rail Lines

Network Rail has issued a warning that people should respect railway crossings, after releasing CCTV footage showing a man “stagger across two live tracks” in Lincoln moments before a freight train comes through.

The video shows a level crossing on Lincoln’s High Street, which is “a busy and active route across the railway,” Network Rail said. “It can present a real danger if not used correctly. People need to be well aware of the dangers, pay attention to the unmissable alarms, and remain incredibly vigilant when crossing the tracks, particularly while under the influence,” Elisha Allen, community safety manager, said.

Allen called the man’s behavior “incredibly dangerous and deeply concerning.” Credit: NetworkRail via Storyful
