Legal crime dramas have long been a favourite of Netflix fans the world over - from Suits to How To Get Away With Murder - and there's officially a new show joining that particular hall of fame: The Lincoln Lawyer.

Series one of the show dropped on Netflix in the UK on 13th May 2022, and jumped straight to the top of the streaming platform's top 10. The show focussed on defence attorney Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), as he works on the case of a man, Trevor Elliot (Christopher Gorman), accused of killing his wife and her boyfriend after finding out about their relationship.

Naturally, fans were asking whether we'll get to see The Lincoln Lawyer season two. Here's what we know so far...

Is there a trailer for The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 part 2?

There sure is! On 13th July Netflix shared the trailer for The Lincoln Lawyer season two part two, which revealed that Mickey (drum roll please) is still alive following that brutal beating up in the car park.

The trailer also featured Mickey (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) returning to law and continuing to defend Lisa (Lana Parrilla) against her murder allegation. Will he manage to get Lisa off the hook?

What is The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 part 2's release date?

Unlike in season one which dropped all at once, for season two Netflix has split the season in half, with the first five episodes being released on 6th July.

The second half of the episodes will be released on 3rd August. Let the countdown begin!

When was The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 confirmed?

On 14th June 2022, Netflix revealed a second season of the show was officially coming. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it will consist of another batch of 10 episodes and be based on the fourth book in the Lincoln Lawyer book series by Michael Connelly, The Fifth Witness. (Season one was based on the second book, The Brass Verdict.)

Who will star in The Lincoln Lawyer season 2?

When The Lincoln Lawyer season two does roll around, all of S1's leading cast members to return. That means Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as lawyer Mickey Haller, plus Jazz Raycole as Izzy Letts. Then there's Mickey's ex-wife and now colleague Lorna (played by Becki Newton), as well as his other ex-wife Maggie McPherson (Neve Campbell. And, of course, Angus Sampson as Cisco.

Then there's Mickey's new client, Lisa Trammel, played by Lana Parrilla!

What might happen in The Lincoln Lawyer season 2?

The Amazon synopsis for the fourth book, which the second season is based on, reads:

"In tough times, crime is one of the few things that still pays, but even criminals are having to make cutbacks. So for defence lawyer Mickey Haller, most of his new business is not about keeping people out of jail; it's about keeping a roof over their heads as the foreclosure business is booming.

"Lisa Trammel has been a client of Mickey's for eight months, and so far he's stopped the bank from taking her house. But now the bank's CEO has been found beaten to death - and Lisa is about to be indicted for murder."
