Netflix's "Cursed" Starring Katherine Langford Releases First Look Photos

Katherine Langford might be Cursed in her upcoming Netflix show, but we're blessed to finally get a first look at the adventure-fantasy series.

The former 13 Reasons Why star plays Nimue, a young woman with a mysterious gift in this reimagined telling of an Arthurian legend. She's destined to become the powerful Lady of the Lake, who unfortunately has a tragic fate. Following the death of her mother, Nimue teams up with a mercenary named Arthur (Devon Terrell) to track down the famed wizard Merlin (Gustaf Skarsgård) and deliver a mystical sword.

While on her journey, Nimue faces a slew of different challenges and adversaries. In very Katniss Everdeen fashion, she also becomes a symbol of rebellion against King Uther and the terrifying Red Paladins. The series is an adaptation of the bestselling book by Thomas Wheeler, which features the tagline “what if the sword has chosen a queen?”

The series also stars former Teen Wolf actor Daniel Sharman (Weeping Monk), Sebastian Armesto (King Uther Pendragon), Matt Stokoe (Gawain), Lily Newmark (Pym), Shalom Brune-Franklin (Igraine), Emily Coates (Sister Iris), Billy Jenkins (Squirrel), Bella Dayne (Red Spear), and Peter Mullan (Father Carden).

Check out some of the first look images below, including Katherine as Nimue emerging from a body of water and clutching her sword in ready position. We also get a peek at Daniel's character, currently known simply as the Weeping Monk – will he end up being a good or bad guy?

Cursed premieres sometime this summer.
