Yahoo Movies Netflix's controversial 365 Days is getting two sequels

Netflix movie 365 Days has not one, but two sequels in the works.
Controversial upon its release last summer, this steamy Polish-language drama followed the exploits of a young woman imprisoned by a gangster, who allowed her 12 months to fall in love with him.
Pockets of the movie criticism world condemned its romanticisation of Stockholm Syndrome and sexual assault.

Thanks to Deadline, we know that original stars Michele Morrone, Anna-Maria Sieklucka and Magdalena Lamparska are returning for the next two parts, with Simone Susinna also landing a role as newcomer Nacho.
Directing duo Barbara Białowąs and Tomasz Mandes are back behind the megaphone.
As for what 365 Days fans can expect, a reunion between Laura and Massimo will take centre stage, but their new beginning is complicated by the latter's family ties.
Meanwhile, a mysterious man turns up to compete for Laura's heart at any cost.

In Digital Spy's analysis of this problematic film, we wrote: "What ensues is a terrible 50 Shades-style plot of manipulation, peppered with 'kinky' sex scenes. But anyone who has tried BDSM knows that the reality is nowhere near what is portrayed here.
"The sex is barely consensual, if any type of sex with someone who has forced you to enter into a relationship on threat of killing your family can be called consensual. By any definition this qualifies as coercion."
365 Days is streaming on Netflix.
