Netflix Reveals First Look Trailer at 'Money Heist Berlin' Spin-Off

Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for its Money Heist Berlin spin-off series. After the success of the original Money Heist, which catapulted the series into a Korean spin-off, Netflix continues to expand the franchise.

The streamer reveals a first-look trailer at what to expect for the prequel series Berlin, which is set to follow the character Andrés de Fonollosa. The original series focused on The Professor and his team of eight as they try to pull off the greatest robbery in the history of Spain. The group is able to break into the Royal mint of Spain, hold 11 people hostage, while they print out millions of dollars and rob The Bank of Spain, stealing just enough gold to not hurt the economy.

The latest trailer for Berlin focuses on character introductions for the cast of the new heist crew. The group of six indicates the return of Berlin and new characters Keila, Cameron, Roi, Damián, and Bruce. The trailer gives audiences insights into each of their personalities and what they will bring to the crew. The Professor is rumored to return as he is Berlin's brother. The show is expected to dive somewhat into their relationship and how it led to the events of Money Heist. Since the new series follows Berlin in his younger years, fans can expect more background on his character.

Money Heist Berlin arrives in 2023.
