Netflix fans react to Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper being added to the site

We don't mean to alarm anyone, but we have some very important news to share. Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper is now available on Netflix in the UK. Yes, we're still screaming too.

The iconic Barbie movie from our childhoods was added to the streaming site earlier this week (1st December), and fans are already excited about the news.

TikTok user @emilyvisionn created a video sharing their reaction to finding out the news and its already had 3 million views.

In the video Emily records themselves opening Netflix to find Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper with the TikTok audio "omg what is that?" playing in the background.

The comment section has been full of other people also getting very excited with one person saying "I screamed" and another said: "OMG OMG OMG."

People on Twitter have also been reacting to the news with one person tweeting their excitement: "BARBIE PRINCESS AND THE PAUPER IS ON NETFLIX??? THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE !!!!"

And another said: "Guys this is not a drill, Barbie Princess and the Pauper is on Netflix!!!"

In case you're not a Barbie mega fan, Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper is a 2004 movie starring Kelly Sheridan, Martin Short, Alessandro Juliani and Mark Hildreth. In the movie Barbie is seen as a princess and a pauper, and the story is loosely inspired by Mark Twain's novel The Prince and The Pauper.

Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper was the first musical Barbie CGI film and was part of a series of films including Barbie in The Nutcracker, Barbie as Rapunzel and Barbie of Swan Lake.

A number of more recent Barbie movies are currently available on Netflix including Barbie in a Mermaid Tale, Barbie: Princess Charm School and Barbie: A Fairy Secret.
