Neighbours' Olivia Bell faces backlash on Erinsborough return

From Digital Spy

Neighbours spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Neighbours' Olivia Bell returns to Erinsborough on UK screens next week, and the Kennedys are not happy to see her.

Last summer, Karl opened up to Olivia about how Finn Kelly's horrific crimes affected his and Susan's marriage. Olivia then betrayed Karl's trust by using that information without permission for her book on the killer.

The Kennedys have not forgotten about Olivia's betrayal – so when she shows her face again, they are immediately suspicious about what she has to say.

In upcoming scenes on Channel 5, Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) learns from Ned Willis (Ben Hall) that Olivia (Alyce Platt) is back.

Susan meets up with a seemingly remorseful Olivia, who reveals that she's returned because she plans to write and release a more truthful version of her book on Finn Kelly. To achieve this goal, Olivia wants Susan to be involved in this new version.

Not surprisingly, Susan is unimpressed with Olivia's offer. She reminds Olivia about what she did last year and how she betrayed Karl's trust.

Susan points out that the Kennedys suffered greatly from the book's release, while Olivia profited and left town.

Olivia next tries to speak to Karl (Alan Fletcher), but he too rejects her offer to collaborate on the revised version of the book.

One person who's seriously considering Olivia's offer is David Tanaka (Takaya Honda). His professional reputation was badly and unfairly affected by Olivia's original version of the book, and although Olivia has yet to prove she can be trusted, he admits to Susan that he sees potential benefits to agreeing to her request.

David's words give Susan something to think about. Will she reconsider Olivia's offer – and how will Karl react?
