Neighbours guest star confirms new love interest for Levi Canning

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours guest star Isabella Giovinazzo has confirmed that she will be playing a new love interest for Levi Canning when she makes her debut in the soap.

News of Isabella's casting was revealed over the summer but little was revealed about her character, beyond the fact that she is named Felicity Higgins.

The "mysterious stranger" will first appear on Australian screens next week, with UK fans meeting her in October, and she will soon be getting well acquainted with Levi (Richie Morris).

During an interview with Australia's TV Week, Isabella confirmed that she has filmed intimate scenes with Levi actor Richie, saying that "something lovely" has been created between the characters.

"I love that Neighbours has an 'intimacy coach' – Eve Morey (who played Sonya Rebecchi in the soap between 2009 and 2020), who is a wonderful actress too," she said. "The show is committed to supporting actors' personal safety. I felt so safe and excited to create something lovely with Richie Morris."

The actress, who starred in fellow Aussie soap Home and Away as Phoebe Nicholson between 2013 and 2017, added that she felt the pressure before joining Neighbours, particularly as the two shows do have some differences.

"I was a little nervous, because this was a different show and the cast might have had a different way of working. But I needn't have worried – they're a great bunch, and everyone was very welcoming and kind," she said.

Just how serious Felicity and Levi might get remains to be seen, but it seems that Levi will be exploring the polyamorous nature of his relationship with Amy Greenwood (Jacinta Stapleton) a little more.

He is currently involved in a polyamorous arrangement with Amy and Ned Willis (Ben Hall), and it looks like Levi will be looking into the possibility that Amy isn't the only person in the relationship who can see more than one person.

Felicity's first scenes will air next week on 10 Peach in Australia and in the week commencing October 18 on Channel 5 in the UK.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
