With All-Star weekend right around the corner, the NBA revealed the starting lineups for its annual All-Star game on Thursday.
It also released the Jordan brand jerseys that both teams will wear.
Eastern Conference - Team Giannis
Led by team captain and reigning league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Eastern Conference has a pair of fresh faces in its starting lineup.
Both Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam and Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young earned their first nods to the All-Star game this year after impressive seasons. Siakam is averaging 23.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game so far in Toronto, while Young has put up 29.2 points and nearly nine assists per contest.
Western Conference - Team LeBron
For the second straight year, LeBron James will serve as a team captain for the Western Conference.
James, who has put up 25.1 points and nearly 11 assists per game with the Los Angeles Lakers so far this year, is back for his 16th All-Star game — which sets an NBA record. He’ll be joined in the starting lineup teammate Anthony Davis, too.
Clippers star Kawhi Leonard will join them in the starting lineup, marking his fourth All-Star game, along with Houston Rockets guard James Harden, who is back for an eighth time.
Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic will round out the Western Conference lineup in his first appearance in the game. Doncic, the reigning Rookie of the Year, has nearly averaged a triple-double this season in Dallas, putting up 29.1 points, 9.7 rebounds and nine assists per game. At 20, he will be the youngest starter in an All-Star game since James in 2005.
Reserve members for both teams will be announced on Jan. 30.
All-Star weekend will kick off on Feb. 14 from the United Center in Chicago, starting with the celebrity game and rising stars game on Friday. The skills challenge, 3-point contest and slam dunk contest will take place on Saturday, with the All-Star game itself wrapping up the weekend on Sunday.
