Pope Francis, 88, tells weekly audience he still has bronchitis
Pope Francis said on Wednesday he was still suffering from a bout of bronchitis and asked an aide to read prepared remarks for a weekly general audience at the Vatican for the second time in two weeks. "Me, with my bronchitis, I cannot (read) still," the pope said. Francis, 88, has been pope since 2013 and has suffered from influenza and other health problems several times over the past two years.

Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov said timely weapons deliveries and joint projects with European partners were on the agenda for Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting in Brussels on Wednesday. The meeting will be chaired by the British Secretary of State for Defence John Healey. The grouping of some 50 nations, formed after Russia launched the full-scale invasion in 2022 and sometimes referred to as the Ramstein Group after the U.S. air base in Germany where it first met, has previously been led by the United States.

Balkan telecoms and media company United Group has agreed to sell its broadband provider Serbia Broadband to e& PPF Telecoms Group and other assets to Telekom Srbija in a deal with an enterprise value of 1.5 billion euros, United said on Wednesday. e& PPF Telecom Group, a joint venture of UAE's e& and Czech-based PPF, said it was buying Serbia Broadband (SBB) for 825 million euros ($854.95 million) cash-free and debt-free as the main part of the transaction.

Malaysian court orders government, analyst to pay damages in Mongolian murder case
A Malaysian court has ordered the government and a political analyst, Abdul Razak Baginda, to pay a total of more than 9 million ringgit ($2 million) to the family of murdered Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu, media said on Wednesday. The victim of one of Malaysia's most gruesome murders, her body was blown up with military-grade explosives in a forest on the edge of the capital, Kuala Lumpur, in 2006. Two former members of the security detail of Najib Razak, then the defense minister, were convicted of the crime in 2015.
