Mumbai Drivers, Pedestrians Brave Monsoon Floods

The India Meteorological Department warned of heavy rainfall across the country’s west coast on July 6, as floodwaters swamped Mumbai streets.

At least two people were injured in a landslide in the Chunabhatti area of the city on Wednesday, the Indian Express reported. According to the report, “Mumbai has recorded 69.41 per cent (594 mm) of the average July rainfall (855.7 mm) in just the first five days of the month.”
