Corgis Parade In Honour Of New Statue Of Queen Elizabeth II
A parade of corgis arranged by the Welsh Corgi League celebrated the unveiling of a new statue of the late Queen Elizabeth II in Oakham in Rutland. Created by well-respected sculptor Hywel Pratley, it features a playful touch as it depicts the late Queen with her beloved corgi dogs. After falling in love with the Welsh breed as a child, Elizabeth II owned more than 30 corgis from her accession in 1952 until her death in 2022. Around 46 corgis attended the unveiling and parade to Oakham Castle. The permanent statue of the late Queen Elizabeth II is the first to be commissioned and completed since her death. The memorial unveiled was commissioned by the Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland as a lasting tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-reigning and possibly greatest monarch. Following an “extraordinary” response to the death of Queen Elizabeth, donations quickly raised the required funds for the statue.

US reaches $138.7 million civil settlement with victims of Larry Nassar
The settlement resolves claims the FBI botched the initial investigation into Nassar, the Justice Department said. "These allegations should have been taken seriously from the outset," Benjamin Mizer, the acting U.S. associate attorney general, said in a statement. "While these settlements won’t undo the harm Nassar inflicted, our hope is that they will help give the victims of his crimes some of the critical support they need to continue healing."

Cost of food: Where prices are easing and rising
Many consumers are feeling the pain from higher prices With the advent online grocery shopping, like with Amazon's (AMZN) recently announced grocery delivery service, the way in which consumers buy groceries is shifting. USDA Regional Food Business Center's Dawn Thilmany joins Wealth! to break down the best ways for consumers to save money on groceries in an evolving consumer landscape. Thimnay offers this insight into which category will grow in expense:" I think you're going to start and continue to see it in the processed foods. So sometimes people are eating out away from home at restaurants. Those are the prices seeing the most pressure right now and that's because of labor costs. We've made a commitment across the country in many states to start bringing up the labor and wages and if not because of policies, because of the workforce pressure that there's just not enough workers. Labor is really driving this. So if you think about where labor is most intense in the food systems, it's those prepared meals." Watch the video above to hear Thilmany's tips for saving some cash.
