MOVES-Hidehiro Imatsu named president of Goldman Sachs Japan
Goldman Sachs has appointed Hidehiro Imatsu as president of its Japan unit, it said in a release on Thursday. Imatsu, who is based in Hong Kong, will relocate to Tokyo and, as well as serving as president, will retain his current roles as co-head of global interest rates product trading and co-head of the Asia Pacific fixed income, currency and commodities. Imatsu takes the place of Masanori Mochida, who announced he would retire last year after more than 38 years at the investment bank.

At least 93 people were arrested during pro-Palestinian protests on the University of Southern California (USC) campus in Los Angeles, on Wednesday, April 24, the Los Angeles Police Department said.Footage recorded by Tomoki Chien shows the protest in Alumni Park.Officers moved into the park at around 4 pm local time on Wednesday, Cpt Kelly Muniz told reporters, assisting the university by carrying out trespassing arrests.Muniz said one person was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.The National Students for Justice in Palestine reported that rubber bullets and tear gas were used in dispersing protesters. The LAPD denied the use of tear gas when speaking to a local reporter, saying officers were not equipped with chemical agents.USC said before midnight that the protest had ended and the campus remained closed.
