Nicole (@nicolelamia_) is a parent and TikToker who shares a mix of sweet videos of her baby, relatable parenting stories, and useful hacks. In a recent video, Nicole shared a hack for keeping your baby’s head supported while carrying it, and it’s shockingly simple! The hack is designed for parents who use wrap baby carriers, and ensures your little one is as comfy as possible!
The video begins with a shot of Nicole standing in her hallway, carrying her baby in a gray wrap. The baby’s legs stick out the bottom, and its body is supported by the tightly wrapped fabric. While the baby’s back is firmly held in place by the wrap, its neck is unsupported, and its head is tilted back.
Nicole holds up a burp cloth. The soft fabric appears to be about a foot wide and a few feet long. “Extra head support for baby,” Nicole writes in a caption.
Then, Nicole begins rolling up the fabric. She turns it over and over in her hands until it forms a tube. She holds up the burp cloth, showing the proper way to roll it, then tucks it under the fabric at the top of the baby carrier.
Nicole rolls the baby carrier fabric around the burp cloth several times to make sure it is secured in place, then pulls it up so that it is right under her baby’s head. Thanks to the extra support, the baby’s head is now tilted upwards instead of back, and the baby looks much more comfortable!
Viewers applauded Nicole’s useful hack.
“Moms are superstars,” one viewer wrote.
“This is a great idea. Thank you,” another viewer commented.
“I don’t have a baby, but I’m saving [this],” one future parent wrote.
Sometimes the most useful parenting hacks are also the easiest!
