When model Maye Musk was tapped, at age 69, to be a new face of CoverGirl, it was a beautiful, anti-ageist moment. For Musk — whose illustrious career as a model had included star turns in campaigns for Clinique and Target, and being photographed for Vanity Fair and Vogue Italia — it was the highlight of her career. It was one that she never thought she would be granted at her age.

Now, she says, “It’s become the most important part of my modeling career, because everyone’s loving it.”
