MM6 Maison Margiela Debuts Salomon Collab on SS23 Runway

MM6 Maison Margiela's Spring/Summer 2023 collection, titled "The Rite of Spring," was themed as a rehearsal for the forthcoming season with a wide range of looks inspired by dance.

The lineup proved that the low-rise trend is here to stay, with slightly cropped tees styled with loose-fitted pink denim jeans, trousers and more. Balletcore-inspired designs were seen in the form of bolero knit tops, while frayed and worn details were found throughout maxi-length skirts, knit sweaters, tube tops and more in shades of cream and blush.

Standing out from the collection was a new collaboration with Salomon, which, instead of footwear, featured the Adv Skin 5 running vest, offering a fashion-forward take on the technical accessory. The team-up also included thigh-high boots arriving in blush and black.

Balletcore continued to make a statement through the footwear seen on the runway, with satin square-toed ballet shoes. The collection was complete with crossbody mini bags, origami-inspired Japanese bags and oval-shaped totes.
