Yahoo Movies Mississippi State recruit's dunk brings down the hoop, and everything else
Odds are you have heard of backboard-shattering dunks from the likes of Darryl Dawkins and Shaquille O’Neal. A high school basketball team in Alabama discovered something even wilder on Friday.
Specifically, the team saw a dunk literally crash the board:

Whoever is in charge of (and liable for) maintaining that gym should be very, very happy that ever player on the court was able to get out of the way, some by only a foot or two by the looks of it.
For the record, the dunker in question is Keshawn Murphy of Ramsay High School in Birmingham. A Mississippi State signee in the Class of 2021, Murphy is rated as a 3-star power forward by Rivals and is 6-foot-10, 225 pounds with a 7-foot wingspan, the kind of dimensions of a person who could rip several pounds of metal out of a ceiling.
Apparently, he wasn’t always that big, according to his coach Denton Johnson via Mississippi State:
His story is similar to [Los Angeles Lakers forward] Anthony Davis. He walked into our program as a 6-3 shooting guard and blossomed into a talented 6-10 forward. KeShawn can handle the ball like a guard and can score at all three levels. He has worked hard and improved a different facet of his game each season. There's no doubt in my mind that he is a future pro.
The play came during Ramsay’s game on Friday against Carver High School, which had to be halted for obvious reasons. The program announced that the game will be resumed next Thursday after a “goal malfunction.”
