Milwaukee Bucks center and Disney fanatic Brook Lopez proposes to girlfriend at Animal Kingdom

Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Cinderella and Prince Charming. And now, Brook Lopez and Hailee Nicole Strickland.

Thirteen years ago, the Milwaukee Bucks center and Disney fanatic met Strickland at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, according to a news release from Disney.

On Monday — exactly 13 years later — that's where "Splash Mountain" proposed to her.

Sounds like a love story written by Disney itself.

The couple's night started off with a "romantic" dinner at Tiffins Restaurant, which is located in Discovery Island at the theme park, the news release said.

The eatery's cuisine is "inspired by exploration and adventure," according to its website. How fitting, given that marriage is often referred to as one of life's greatest adventures.

The proposal went down in front of the Tree of Life, one of "The Beacons of Magic" at Walt Disney World Resort. The tree stands 145 feet tall and has more than 300 animals carved into it, according to Disney's website.

The attraction's lights lit up Strickland’s smile as she said "Yes!" the news release said.

The pair had an engagement photo shoot there after. And of course, Strickland sported Minnie Mouse bridal ears.

Not all that long ago, Lopez had another major life milestone also involving a very important ring.

That milestone? The Bucks winning the 2021 NBA Finals. That ring? The 2021 NBA championship ring.

Strickland is a private Pilates instructor, according to her Instagram bio.
