The Marvelous Mrs Maisel season 4 doesn't have a premiere date yet, but that hasn't stopped its creator Amy Sherman-Palladino teasing one of the new characters – and that character will be a familiar face to fans of her other major show.

Milo Ventimiglia, who previously starred in Sherman-Palladino's Gilmore Girls, is joining the cast of Amazon Studios' period comedy-drama, but who is he playing?

Appearing alongside her partner Daniel Palladino at a panel moderated by TVLine, Amy revealed that he’s playing "someone very handsome".

Daniel expanded a little bit on that, teasing: "You have to see it in context, because it’s actually a very different thing we’re doing with him.

"We needed someone of his calibre and his handsomeness, so we asked Milo to do it. But you have to see it in the context."

It seems to us like, whoever the former Heroes actor and This Is Us star will be playing, he'll definitely be turning heads. But whose exactly?

Previously, Amy said that Milo's appearance "can't be just a cameo. It's got to have some meat to it" while speaking to Variety.

Amazon confirmed a fourth season of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel in December 2019, just days after season 3 launched. But that's all been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel's first three seasons are available to stream on Amazon Prime Video now.
