Miley Cyrus has reached a point where she can joke about her failed marriage with Liam Hemsworth.
The "Slide Away" singer, who split from Hemsworth after less than eight months of marriage (they had been together on and off for 10 years, however), made headlines this week after joking about their short union in an Instagram comment.
It all started when artist Matty Mo ("The Most Famous Artist") shared a screenshot of his updated Instagram bio that read, "Getting married to @mileycyrus in 2020." He captioned the post, "Upping my manifestation game for 2020 and putting this out there."
The artist also tagged Miley on the post, and it got her attention: The "We Can't Stop" hitmaker responded to Mo's "manifestation" with a tongue-in-cheek comment, writing, "It probably won't last long. But always down to try, You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."
Fans believed that Miley was alluding to her short marriage to the Australian "Hunger Games" actor, who she suddenly split from in August. They got married on December 23, 2018, making their marriage less than eight months long.
She famously moved on quickly from Hemsworth, with photos of Miley cozying up to Brody Jenner's ex, Kaitlynn Carter, poolside in Italy making the rounds hours after she announced her separation from Hemsworth. The women dated for a little over a month in a whirlwind romance that was heavily documented by the media.
Kaitlynn and Miley split in mid-September, and the former "Hannah Montana" actress has since been dating Australian singer, Cody Simpson.
The pair recently sparked speculation that they're gearing up for a joint music project by reportedly filing to trademark the name Bandit and Bardot.
