Yahoo Movies Mila Kunis calls out Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon's awks red carpet pics
We'd like to take a minute to thank Mila Kunis for saying what we're all thinking, and calling out her husband Ashton Kutcher's awkward red carpet pictures with Reese Witherspoon.
Now in case you missed it, over the weekend Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon appeared on the red carpet together to promote their new Netflix rom-com Your Place or Mine (it's out 10th February btw). As two co-stars who have probably spent a considerable amount of time getting to know each other, many people online thought the pair looked a little awkward together.
One person tweeted: "I have been laughing all day at the Your Place or Mine premiere/press photos."
Others compared them to other actors on the red carpet such as Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac, who went viral for their chemistry when promoting Scenes From a Marriage.
However, many people also pointed out it would be weird to see the two all over each other - they're literally two actors, just doing their job and are married to other people.
But one of their spouses, aka Ashton Kutcher's wife Mila Kunis, has called the couple out on how awkward they look together.
Appearing on the Today with Hoda and Jenna Reese explained Mila had messaged them both to say they needed to act like they liked each other.
Reese said: "She even emailed us last night. She goes, ‘You guys look so awkward on the red carpet together'."
And Ashton went onto explain why he looked so awkward in the pictures during an interview on the Chicks In The Office podcast. He argued if he was to put his arm around Reese people would assume they were having an affair.
"She [Mila] texted Reese and I together and she's like 'guys, you gotta act like you like each other'. Here's the thing ok, if I put my arm around her and was like all friendly with her, I'd be having an affair with her, like the rumour would be I'm having an affair with her," he said.
"If I stand next to her, I put my hands in my pockets, so there's no chance that that could be the rumour, the rumour is that we don't like each other."
Since the pair have been called out by literally everyone, they're now going extra on the red carpet. Ashton has frequently been putting his arm round Reese and they're even hugging too.
Glad to see Mila's words had an impact.
