Inter Miami will kick off its 2024 preseason with a Jan. 19 exhibition road match against El Salvador’s national team. The game will be played at Estadio Cuscatlan in San Salvador at 8 p.m.
Camp opens Jan. 10 in Fort Lauderdale and the club plans to play four to six preseason matches, including a few overseas. The MLS season begins the last week of February, though the schedule has not been announced.
“We’re excited to start announcing our preseason plans and preparations ahead of a thrilling 2024 campaign. We look forward to facing the El Salvador national team in what will be a good first test for our squad against the best players from the country,” said Inter Miami sporting director Chris Henderson.
Season Tickets Sold Out
There is much anticipation for the 2024 Inter Miami season, the first full season with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba on the roster.
Although season ticket prices doubled from last year, the club announced Thursday that it had sold out of season tickets for the 2024 MLS regular season. The number of season ticket holders was not available, but according to a club source, 90 percent of 2023 season ticket holders renewed for 2024. DRV PNK Stadium capacity was increased to 21,000 when Messi arrived.
Inter Miami fans can receive more information on the club website intermiamicf.com and be among the first to have the opportunity to purchase the remaining single-match tickets while supplies last. The MLS season schedule is expected to be released in mid-December.
