Megyn Kelly says alleged Stormy Daniels threat sounds 'familiar' to threat she received

Megyn Kelly says that the threat Stormy Daniels says she received on behalf of Donald Trump sounds "familiar" to one she alleges to have gotten from a member of his camp, too.

The "Megyn Kelly Today" host took to Twitter on Sunday night after Daniels' record-breaking "60 Minutes" interview with Anderson Cooper to make the connection.

In the interview, Daniels recalled "a guy" walking up to her head of the 2016 election threatening her if she came forward about her alleged 2006 affair with Trump.

"'Leave Trump alone,'" she remembers him saying to her. "And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, 'That's a beautiful little girl. It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom.' And then he was gone."

In response, Kelly tweeted, "And let's not forget this, from #coreylewandowski -- who threatened me if I dared to show up at the 2nd Fox News debate. Sound familiar?"

Kelly was referring to a claim she made in her 2016 tell-all book, "Settle for More," in which she claimed that Donald Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski sought to have her removed as moderator for said debate.

She posted the excerpt from her book detailing the alleged threat that he made to her at the time.

"Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, made a phone call to Bill Sammon and tried to get me booted off the debate team," she wrote. "When Sammon told him that was out of the question, Lewandowski threatened me, saying I'd had a 'rough couple of days after that last debate,' and he 'would hate to have [me] go through that again.' The tone was unmistakable. Sammon warned Lewandowski that he was out of line. I was far from the only woman or reporter Lewandowski had threatened."
