The Duchess of Sussex just made an appearance in one of her signature wardrobe staples.

The duchess participated in a special recorded reading of her debut children's book, The Bench, for Brightly Storytime's recurring YouTube series. For the reading, Meghan dressed casually in a crisp shirt and blue denim jeans, and had her hair slicked back in a sleek low bun. The outfit was reminiscent of one of her most recognisable ensembles: the one she wore for her first public appearance with Prince Harry at the 2018 Toronto Invictus Games.

In the video, she introduced herself, saying, "I'm Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex," while seated in a lush garden. "I wrote this as a poem for my husband and our son, Archie, and then turned it into a book so you could enjoy it, too."

Meghan's virtual reading comes after the duchess visited New York City with Harry for a whirlwind trip that included an appearance at the Global Citizen Live event in Central Park. During their stay, Meghan also took time to read The Bench to students at Harlem's P.S. 123 Mahalia Jackson. The couple also donated planters, gardening equipment, and supplies to local families at the school, as well as set up reading nooks at Graham Windham nonprofit locations across the city.

"For the children, it was an experience they won't forget… and it really lifted spirits for all of us after a difficult 18 months," James Reynolds, an art teacher who worked with children at P.S. 123 Mahalia Jackson to create a colorful mural for the Sussexes, previously told Bazaar.com.
