While Prince Harry continues to finalize the terms of his decision to step down as a senior member of the royal family in the U.K., Meghan Markle remains in Canada with eight-month-old son Archie, getting familiar with her new home.
The Duchess of Sussex was spotted for the first time since the couple made their big announcement on Tuesday, paying a surprise visit to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre in Vancouver, an organization that supports women with basic needs and skills development services. She even took a few minutes to take a group photo.
The picture was shared on the organization’s Facebook page.
“Look who we had tea with today! The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, visited us today to discuss issues affecting women in the community,” the photo was captioned.

The sweet photo shows Markle dressed in a casual, laidback outfit featuring a cream-coloured cable-knit sweater by The Row (a wardrobe staple during her “Suits” days) and a pair of Le Chameau Jameson Boots. According to The Sun, she was also seen carrying her favourite monogrammed leather tote bag earlier that day at Victoria Harbour Airport.
Made by Cuyana, this structured Italian leather tote features double-face construction that reinforces an easy-to-wear elegant shape. Selective details, like the interior lateral ties and hand-painted contrasting lining, are what makes this bag one of our favourite Meghan Markle picks.
