Meghan Markle makes rare fashion faux pas with J. Crew coat

Meghan Markle has stepped out in one flawless look after another, but she made a rare fashion faux pas when she visited Birmingham last week on International Women's Day.

The former "Suits" star looked lovely as ever in a wool J. Crew coat, but managed to forget to do one thing while getting dressed -- remove the tailor's tack, or 'X' stitching, from the back of the coat. The tailor's tack is designed to keep the shape of the garment while it's on display in stores but should be removed before one wears it.

According to fashion expert Hannah Almassi, failing to remove the 'X' stitching impacts the fit and silhouette of the coat.

"The hem will instead heave and stretch to fit around the body, rather than just skimming in the most flattering way," she said.

Despite the fashion misstep, Meghan still dazzled the crowd with her charm, beauty and sartorial prowess.

The rest of her look consisted of a white All Saints turtleneck sweater and a pair of skinny trousers from Alexander Wang, Manolo Blahnik black pumps and an Altuzarra leather bag. As for her hair, she mixed it up by sporting a deep side part instead of her usual center part with big, princess-like curls.

Meghan's trousers, in particular, garnered the most attention. The International Women's Day outing marked her seventh appearance with Harry and the fifth time she's worn trousers. Perhaps it's her new work uniform?
