Meghan Markle, 38, and Prince Harry, 35, have fallen out with the rest of the Royal Family and are not currently on speaking terms, according to recent reports.

The Sussexes’ rumoured rift with the other royals is said to have deepened ever since the couple featured in an hour-long ITV documentary: ‘Harry & Meghan: An African Journey’, which they consented to, chronicling their royal tour of southern Africa.

“There hasn’t been this complete 180,” a source told US publication PEOPLE. “Nothing has changed. They don’t speak, no one is checking in, no one is texting.”

During the documentary, Duchess Meghan opened up about her “struggle” being both pregnant and a mother in the spotlight, adding “Not many people have asked if I’m OK.”

Meanwhile, Prince Harry appeared to confirm his rift with William, saying: “We are certainly on different paths at the moment,” and adding: “As brothers you have good days and bad days.”

The revelation comes amid a royal representative confirming that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be spending Christmas with the rest of the Royal Family.

While the Sussexes were both present in an official capacity during the Royal Family’s Remembrance Day events earlier this month, it’s believed this was for the purpose of protocol rather than a sign the family had made up.

“Everyone was doing their duties, doing what they needed to do on behalf of the family—and that was that,” the source added during the interview. “But there is a divide between the four of them. It’s hard for people to digest, because everyone wants them to be such a unit.”

Rumours of a royal rift emerged late last year, following the former couple’s decision to move to Windsor ahead of the birth of their first child, baby Archie.

And while initial reports suggested the rift might be between Markle and the Duchess of Cambridge, Emily Andrews, royal correspondent for The Sun, told Yahoo UK’s ‘The Royal Box’ back in May that it was actually more to do with the brothers’ relationships.

“I was told, after the royal wedding, Harry and Meghan didn’t see Kate and William personally,” she said, adding, ““I think behind the scenes, Harry and William’s relationship has always been up and down actually but of course, we’ve never really seen that.”
