Meet the 3 Designers Fashion East Is Supporting This LFW Season

Emerging designer incubators Fashion East just announced its lineup for the Fall/Winter 2023 showcase, including returning favorite Karoline Vitto alongside Michael Stewart's label Standing Ground and newcomer, Johanna Parv. Each designer is set to present an on-schedule show during London Fashion Week, supported by Fashion East's longstanding partner, Nike.

First to return for the line up is Brazilian-born and London-based designer Karoline Vitto, who utilized deadstock fabrics from the LVMH showroom, Nona Source, for her debut collection with Fashion East last year. Vitto's work aims to showcase a unique viewpoint on gender ideals, highlighting hidden aspects of the female form in a bid to celebrate and uplift. Vitto's clothing has previously been worn by the likes of Paloma Elsesser, Precious Lee and Shygirl.

Next is Irish designer Michael Stewart, whose label Standing Ground prioritizes craftsmanship above all else, fusing the worlds of past and future. Known for its contemporary evening wear, custom garments and body ornaments, Standing Ground focuses on proportions and silhouettes, utilizing draping and sculpting techniques to inform its pieces.

Completing Fashion East's line-up is Estonian-born womenswear and accessories designer Johanna Parv, who began her namesake label after graduating from Central Saint Martins back in 2020. Parv cut her teeth at the likes of Balenciaga, Christian Dior and Burberry, with her current collections drawing inspiration from the female city cyclist.

Fashion East's presentation will take place at London Fashion Week on February 17.
