Yahoo Movies MCU's Thunderbolts movie gets exciting filming update
The MCU's Thunderbolts movie has received an exciting update.
Wyatt Russell, who will reprise his role as US Agent AKA John Walker in the upcoming blockbuster, has confirmed that filming is set to kick off next spring.
"I'm so lucky to get to work with the kind of talent that I'm going to work with when Thunderbolts starts up in March or April," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
"It just feels like we're going for something that has depth and something interesting to theorise about beyond just flying around and doing superhero stuff."

Thunderbolts was originally scheduled to start production in June this year, but plans were disrupted due to the writers' and actors' strikes in Hollywood.
Joining Russell in the film are Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost.
Making their MCU debuts are Nope's Steven Yeun, who is believed to be playing The Sentry, and The Bear star Ayo Edebiri in an undisclosed role. Harrison Ford will also likely appear as General Thaddeus Ross, as he's set to play the character in Captain America: Brave New World.

Previously opening up about her Marvel debut, Edebiri said: "I love being a sponge. I just want to learn as much as possible. I'm excited [for Thunderbolts] because I don't know — and to me, that's cool.
"I feel like those are always the situations that I've benefited from the most. If I don't know what I'm going to learn, that's the best possible scenario for me."
Thunderbolts will be released in cinemas on July 25, 2025.
